PERSONALITY
By nature Josh is a passionate person, if he's passionate about something or someone he will give it his all and he doesn't give up very easily. He's a stubborn person and tends to be strong willed, which he believes he gets from his mothers side of the family. He's not shy in the least, he can hold his end of a conversation pretty easily given the chance, when you're a touring musician, you don't have time to be shy. He is a very loyal person and will stick up for his friends and family no matter what, but family will always come first to him.
Now, he can come off as a bit of a prick when you first meet him, a bit cocky. It all depends on his mood, and if he's working or not, ninety percent of the time he's joking, though if he's not you'd never know, he's pretty good at the sarcasm. He's a bit of a smart ass and he doesn't take shit from people, he has a back bone when it comes to standing up for what he believes in.

HISTORY
Josh graves was born to Charles and Aiyana Graves. His father was an architect and his mother a wild life biologist, how they produced a musical child no one really knows. He was the out come of their marriage, the family had two children and Josh was the oldest. From the moment his sister was born Josh was attached to Blue. He was ecstatic when his parents told him he was going to be a big brother and took the role very seriously.
At the ripe age of six Josh took an interest in music, and his mother saw this and decided to start him on piano lessons, he very quickly fell in love with the music and didn't seem to want to stop playing. When most kids where outside playing, including his sister, he was inside practicing and playing the piano. He couldn't seem to get enough of the instrument. Aiyana had to tell the boy to stop practicing and go outside and play on more than one occasion.
josh was always a mothers boy from day one, he clung closer to his mother then his father. Him and his father tended to butt heads, and after his mother died the two just never seemed to see eye to eye. He was just ten years old when his mother died. his whole world shattered and his father, dealing with his own grief was hard on the kids, more so his sister than Josh. Blue was a lot like their mother, why that made Charles expect more from blue, he didn't know but Charles tried to control Blue. that didn't turn out well, the young girl rebelled against him on more than one occasion, and Josh tried to smooth everything out as much as possible and tried to calm everyones tempers.
When josh turned eighteen he took his chance and left. He went off to college, spending four years in school for music engineering and minoring in music management. By this time he was playing multiple instruments, he had mastered piano and guitar as a kid, and quickly picked up and learned anything with strings, he's an accomplished multi instrumentalist. His singing voice had gotten stronger with age and by the time he was out of college he had good control over it and it was a unique sound, a raspy bluesy high baritone. Throughout college he did a few solo shows, ended up getting a small country band together to play bars and clubs, eventually that turned into small tours here and there while he focused on college.
After he graduated College that is when his career really took off. His country band was split up and Josh was picked up by a nationally touring Americanna/bluegrass band, Lost Ridge. He played guitar and piano with the group and quickly became their lead singer and front man, and still tours with them today. A few years after starting with Lost Ridge, Josh decided it was time to open his own studio, it may have been his fall back plan incase the band ever fell apart and he couldn't find another band to Join. Lost Ridge studio was opened and seemed to take off like a weed. He mainly does most of the work, but he hires interns from the Sugar Hollow Academy to help out from time to time, and in fact it's one of the courses there. He also has hired another engineer to help take the work load, but Josh tends to do 80% of the work in the place, and thats the way he likes it.
Josh's love life has always been a bit interesting. He realized in high school that girls always seemed to like the lead guitar player in the band and the lead singer, Josh tended to be both, so was he popular with the ladies? Sort of. Josh was reserved in high school, not extremely out going but not really shy either. You could consider him a nerd and he tended to get stuck in the friend zone more often than not. Now, college, that was completely different, he came out of his shell as he matured a bit more, and as he got better on his instruments his confidence carried over to his personal life. He was confident, flirty and could be a bit cocky if he wanted to be. In college he never really kept a girlfriend, not for very long anyways. The longest relationship he had lasted about a month. He turned into a man whore and he slept around a lot, rumor is he wasn't exactly faithful when he was 'taken.'
Josh seemed to get his life together after he walked into a small coffee shop that hosted open mic nights from time to time,, he went in by chance. It had been a long day in the studio and he was on his way home stopping to get a bite to eat, well, he ended up staying because of a woman. Norah Ramsey had been on that stage playing a guitar and singing her heart out to the crowd. After her set he had approached the woman, the two ended up sitting at a booth and talking until the place closed down.
The two started to date not long after that, they took it slow and one day at a time. Josh had asked to come and record in the studio and she had been a bit hesitant at first, but eventually he had convinced her. As the two got to know each other a bit more so did their relationship, they had their ups and downs but the two always managed to make it work, some how or another. Josh soon realized he was in love with Norah, the two had moved in together and a few months later Josh asked her to marry him, which she thankfully said yes.

Piper become his world, his life, his baby girl and he'd give anything just to make her happy. He was wrapped around her little finger the first time he held the child. Piper is now five years old and is a definite daddy's girl. Josh would give that girl the world if it was possible.
